As was anticipated following a recent teaser trailer, Gearbox Software confirmed at PAX East that Borderlands 3 is coming. The developer also posted a new trailer on YouTube, and rather than a vague teaser, we get to see the dystopian setting in cartoon garb, as we have become accustomed to with the Borderlands franchise.
